Our pediatric dental practice is committed to providing gentle, friendly and comprehensive dental care to infants, children and adolescents. We have been caring for the children of Northborough for over 26 years. We believe that good oral health is vital for a child’s development, and we’re here to help every step of the way. We take pride in creating and maintaining beautiful and healthy smiles for our younger patients in an environment that is lighthearted and fun. We focus on establishing oral health habits that last a lifetime, with education and prevention as our primary tools.
Paying attention to each young patient's specific needs and preferences is just part of what distinguishes our practice. It is our goal to provide your child with a wonderful dental experience and a happy and healthy smile! If you would like more information about any of the procedures that we offer or to request an appointment, please call our office at the number listed above. We will do everything possible to ensure that you or your child’s visit is pleasant and comfortable.
Teeth, both primary and permanent teeth, survive best in an oral environment that is free from harmful pathogens. Our dental hygiene program is designed to help prevent decay, preserve teeth that have been restored and keep your child’s teeth as clean and healthy as possible. At the initial visit with our hygienist, oral hygiene instructions are reviewed and are reinforced at subsequent recall visits. We recommend that each child be seen at least twice a year for a dental prophylaxis.
The AAPD (American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry) recommends that you schedule your child’s first oral hygiene appointment when they reach their 1st birthday.
We strongly recommend that every child who receives a cleaning in our office also receives a fluoride treatment. These treatments consist of a rinse that contains a high level of fluoride in which a gel or fluoride foam is placed in a tray which sits in your child’s mouth for 1-4 minutes. These treatments increase the hardness of the tooth’s enamel and makes your child more resistant to tooth decay.
With the advent of the newest technologies in dental science, today's state-of-the-art restorative materials include ceramic and the latest composite materials. These materials are not only strong and durable, but restore the look of natural teeth and are very aesthetically pleasing.
One of the main purposes of primary teeth is to act as a space maintainer for the permanent teeth which will erupt as the child enters adolescence. Occasionally, a primary tooth is absent, lost early or needs to be extracted.
Dr.Wald and Janet the Hygenist were so loving and caring with my son. My son can be a very challenging patient...they are miracle workers!!! My son had a great experience and left feeling so proud of himself. We will be lifelong patients. Yes I am switching dentist now, they were that wonderful.
Excellent care and service. My kids, wife and I go to them. Highly recommend them.
